I’m getting better at these, still utter crap, but I’m on my way.

I’ve gone from a three wall (12 x W750mm x H1800mm panels) setup to a two wall (6 x Panels) setup for my studio, to make a “L” shape around one corner of the studio.

The main reason for this is the time it will take to prepare and fully finish three walls is far too long, another reason is it’s physically a lot of wood to move around, without a full sized ‘white van’ I’m really going to struggle to transport my creation!

I’m now waiting on a corner foot then I can slot it all together, big props to Louie for saving me a lot of money and building my studio, rather than me purchase pre-made exhibition walls.

Phase 1.7 – Method Preparation

Sand down walls, finish off feet, order frames, buy Velcro tape to stick frames to wall – nothing stopping me now, the weather has picked up and I’m not trapped in my house!

Things to do:
Make decals / price lists for walls and display stand.
Get ready for a test run.
Book some space in a Shopping Centre.

Other Stuff:
Video entries, they are funny things, I watch other peoples video blogs and I think they look great, I wonder how much preparation they put into them?

I slightly fear that my videos undersell my idea and myself.

Starting to get frustrated; All I really need to do is a test run and then I can book some space in a shopping centre and get on with the next part of my plan, but my walls are still not completed.

My friend has done an amazing job and they are really, really look the part,  once it’s done it will look awesome.

I’ve decided to change the walls slightly to speed up the build time, instead of twelve I’ll be having six walls. Before they was only going to be a MDF board on one side with a timber frame showing on the other side. Now I have MDF boards on both sides, not only this makes it more sturdy and tougher, also makes it look 100% better.

Five out of six walls completed, I planned to paint them today, much to my surprise there is about six inches of snow outside, I haven’t seen this much snow in about 19 years, when I was a very young lad I vaguely remember playing outside in this awesome blanket of white.

I’ve been recommended by the side of the paint tin not to paint in freezing weather as it may screw the paint up.

I have this discerning feeling that I’m not doing very well, I planned to be a lot further in my plan by now, however I’m not going to let it get to me I’m going to crush these feelings and drink some BRAWNDO.
