Possible Problems: Though I have worked out a new workflow looking at my previous takings and my targets, I think I may still need a second person to help me on some of the day, unfortunately, i have no one at the moment.

Other notes: With the price increase on a few items, will be interesting to see if i get any repeat business asking about previous prices or any other people that didn’t have time to get a shoot done, but still have price lists.

Rent is lower this time and me working solo for most of it gives me a much better chance to turn a bigger profit – This will be the perfect test to see if it can be done solo over a one week booking. Two week bookings will NEED two people.

Phase 1.9.9 – Getting ready for the next booking, further tests

Things to do:

Design new displays for the studio

Think about home call setup, the equipment needed, marketing, prices and photographers. Most of the homecall stuff is in my head – Just need a photographer!

A lot of work to be done and I’ve just woken up (2:32PM GMT) the girl at the New Years party refused to give me a kiss on the countdown, great, I’ve lost half a day and no good-luck-new-year-kiss.

Where to start? – Starting a company is easy – making a profitable, popular and an enjoyable one isn’t.

Phase 1 – Preparation

I’m breaking my preparation down into three segments – BRAND, PRODUCT and METHOD.

Over next three days I’ll make decisions that will shape and give my company structure, these are never set in cement, any good company will need to adapt to the latest styling, products and offers if it’s going to survive.

For the rest of today I’ll be looking at my brand, possibly one of the most important aspects of any company, I wish to come across as a professional, medium sized company with high quality inexpensive photo products.

Things to do:
Come up with a name for my company.
Create concept logos.
Colour and design styles/themes.

I’ll report back tomorrow morning with what I’ve decided on.
